well...today started out ok....got up..had a rough nite sleeping due to pain...after things settled down and I got up at about 8am....the oncologist came in and said nothing else to report out ..the blood work is right where it's supposed to be and the next bone marrow biopsy was scheduled for monday.....he left and as I had gotten out of the shower, get a call from the same doc and the latest labs from 5am showed the white cells were increasing in numbers....for the past few days it was at zero....well....got the biopsy today at 2pm and we'll probably know something around tues...but the reason for the move up a couple of days is that the white cell count started increasing....albiet rather small numbers but it wasn't expected and this should indicate that the leukemia is gone...and if that's the case...it would mean that the stem cells could be introduced earlier.....I sure pray that is the case...

Oh Steve......so glad things are looking up. You have a great attitude and that works wonders for healing. Plus, a lot of prayers are being answered. The hair will grow back, although you look just as handsome without it. P.S. I see our cards hanging on your wall Take care! Hugs, Nancy - NJ

You know Steve you could go with an eye patch, do rag, and gold ear ring and you would have a pretty solid pirate look going. Arrrrrr....
Seriously I hope they have nuked all the bad stuff and it is time to rebuild.

A pirate would be funny and another laugh for the onco group. My sister in law had different wigs....blue when she felt blue, green = lousy, hot red=ready to party, etc. She got tired of folks asking her how she was feeling.
Actually, you look in good shape....for the shape you are in! (smiling face) you're looking good and an encouragement to me!
Glad things are going forward for you and your body is receiving all well....good new.

well...the oncologist just stopped by with the results of the bone marrow biopsy from last week.....the news isn't good.....the first round looked promising and they thought it was going to be a good treatment but there showed some return of the leukemia on the 2nd biopsy they took last week..... so...I have to do another round of chemo starting today....needless to say this was disheartening and a bit of a set back...if this 2nd rnd doesn't work...then I'm left with clinical trails or hospice.....
keep those prayers comin...
Steve
