LOL Steve.... I am a kid, just a old kid, in a candy store here. LOL
Its been a true experience that I am very lucky to be enjoying. I am trucking through the pain as we have done soooo much walking in the past 2 days, but its all worth it to me. I really can not wait to move here. Only 2 years to go and my youngest will be graduating from high school and we will be back for good. My daughter wants to go to college here so we went to Washington University and took alot of pics for her, boy did we get lost on that campus. Can not believe how huge it is. We couldnt find the information building to get a catalog for her.
There are 2 things that have totally amazed me about the massive city......First, is how clean the city is considering how many people are here. When we went to the Pike St market there was NO trash on the ground!! Second.....With this being a HUGE city with so many tall buildings everywhere there is soooo many trees, everywhere there are beautiful trees and gardens everywhere.....went up 6000 feet on top a mountain and seen snow when the temps just at the bottom of this mountain it was 71 degrees. Seattle center was really nice, sat at the fountain that shoots water up to the beat of the music. Space needle view is amazing. I think I have over 200 pictures so far and its only been 2 days of touring. LOL I think my favorite place so far was the cassacade waterfall, so green, beautiful, peaceful.
As Steve said we are off to south bend for the weekend to stay with his parents, who are in their 80s and i have never met before and its been 5 years since hubby has been back here as well. Monday we will be back in the Seattle area and will meet up with Steve and Marsha for dinner. Really looking forward to meeting them.
I will post some pictures of our trip when we get back to driery Erie, PA lol
Hope everyone is well..................

Hi everyone...
we weren't able to meet up with Steve and Marsha which I was so looking forward to doing. But to make a long story short... My husband has twin daughters that he had not seen or spoken to in 6 years due to a very nasty divorce. We had been trying for past 3 years to get in touch with them but never were able to. Ex wife would always say the girls didnt want Mike having their phone number or email. So I hunted them down on myspace, emailed them about 2 weeks before we left. I never heard anything back from them so we assumed we would not get to see them. The day that we were to meet with Steve I got a short message saying they were willing to meet with their father that night. So we to cancel with Steve to grab this chance to see them. AS it turns out I woulda rather have met up with steve. This was a huge eye opener for Mike and I as they are 24 years old and heavy into drinking and parties. We went to their apartment and nothing but hundreds of empty booze bottles all over. We took them to dinner and spent about 2 hours with them, we had hoped to spend more time with them but they were to concerned about getting more booze for when their friends came over that night (this was a Monday) Mike is a recovering alcoholic so we decided we were not going back to their apartment with them. We said our very short goodbyes in the parking lot and I managed to get one pic of him with his daughters. Very concerning for us as they have the "nothing can touch us" attitude. But I guess the lines of communications are some what open now, even though we have texted them since dinner and not heard a word back from them. But my husband needed this, my only concern now is that he is blaming himself for how they are now.
Ohter then that vacation was wonderful....I simply love it in Seattle and can not wait to move there in 2 years. I will post pics later after I have a chance to readjust to the time difference lol.
We are hoping to go back in a few months as Mike's parents are not well, they are in their 80s now, and there are a alot of things that need taken care of for them there. While we were there mike fixed the electrical box. They had been without hot water for 3 weeks!!!!! The breaker was arking so bad that it was burnt completely in half. Major fire risk!!!! So we need to get back there to fix a few other things as soon a possible. And will for sure meet up with Steve and Marsha then!!!
Hugsssss Terri
