Hi all, Since it is summer, I also try to minimize the stuff I take.
Fluoxetine Protonix (for gi sx) Verapamil (for gi sx) Wellchol (for gi sx)
Wow, that's not too bad!! I'm kind of supposed to be on Plavix, too, but have been holding off of going back on that since after a procedure I had in April...

Boy, some of you are 'loaded for bare". I feel for you. I'm on mino 2x a day, prednisone 2.5 daily(off in August, yah!!!), Zegerd daily (but I'm looking into a natural one or not a strong a one), the vit. thing, and Xeloda 2 weeks on and one week off (chemo for cancer). I try to do natural herbs for the stomach issues when Im on the Xeloda. I would much rather take an herb to a chemical pill.

For those of you who take many different meds- HOW DO YOU REMEMBER? Seriously, do you have a chart? Do you have pill boxes? I'm really curious because I often can't remember to take the few I need to take (mandatory 2, optional 4 or 5) and I would love some helpful suggestions! My heart goes out to each of you- although I know the meds keep us healthy and feeling good, sometimes I feel like a prisoner of my meds (can't eat at certain times, other times I'm STARVING!!!) etc.

Although I hate to admit it, I do use a "pill box"!! It is sometimes the only way I know if I took my meds for the day--how pathetic is that for a 49 year old woman?!

I hve all my meds listed on a print out that is shrunk down to a manageable size..folded and put in my wallet...when I go to the doc's...they always ask me for meds...I hand them that sheet....it has meds...allergies...and a few other items of interest..
as for what I take...well....daily pill boxes work great...we take them onto the boat with us...and when I travel..put some tape around it and off we go....
hope this helps..

It is hard sometimes to remember some of them, especially the calcium that I take now. I used to take it with my other meds but this has to be taken at a different time than the meds.
I have two 14 day pill boxes and I 7 day box. I use the two 14 days, in one I put all the AM meds and the other PM meds. I just started doing these recently. I had the AMs and Pms in the same box, but often when I filled them they would get in the wrong place.
For my night time pills, I use the 7 day box.
I really hate all this! I can't imagine what kind of reactions mixing all these meds might cause.

AAJMOM: I always kept a typewritten list in my purse. Then, whenever I went into a doctor for ANYTHING, (including the dentist) I gave them a copy of my list of meds. ALSO, I have a 7 day pill box, so 1 x a week, I would load that up.
Even tho I only take the Minocin, Zegarid and Ferrous Sulfate (iron) now, I still keep my list and my pill box.
Note: Don't drink milk or have calcium 2 hours before or after taking the MINOCIN (Minocyclene).

I also use a pill box with 4 daily slots and I can take one day container with me in my pocket. I am only in early 40's but need to be sure I don't forget them. It is also nice to only wrestle with all those bottles once a week to fill them.

Cubby---Yes I take Minocin and Clindamiocin everyday both twice a day. Yep its working! Yay! We should start a diet topic on here. I totally changed my diet. I no longer eat beef, dairy, or extra sugar. I'm more disciplined than I ever have been in my life. I may need iron I am anemic. Dr hasn't mention a supplement yet but I get so week and faint and my energy is low. I will talk to Dr F about that..

adrienne, in answer to your question. jeff has always used weekly pill boxes; one for the AM and one for the PM. he also carries a small case in his pocket so that when his phone alarm goes off and it's time to take his coumadin, he has it laurie

TO EVERYONE: Jeff just asked on another thread that when we list our meds, we say what those are for. Instead of retyping, might be good, to just modify the post you already did. Just a thought.

Please don't feel like you need to do a lot of work with this. Just maybe pick out one or two of your meds and tell us what they do.
