I'm having a hard time finding an AP doc. I live in the Wash DC area. I contacted RBF for a listing, but everyone I called is no longer practicing AP. Does anybody have any recommendations? Maybe a referral from your AP doc. Thanks much!

Try Dr John Sinnott in Ida Grove IA. 712-364-3302. He is one of the top AP docs. I called and got an appointment within 3 weeks. I know its abit of travelling but he is taking new patients.

There is a Dr K in the Arlington area. He actually took over the practice that Dr Brown used to have. He does not believe entirely in AP, but he does believe it has some benefit. My wife went to him when she was getting started like 18 months ago. He had a protocol set up to do IV in his office.
Email me at jack.g.clifford@cox.net and I will give you his contact info.

I am on AP therapy and do not see a rheumatologist. My dermatologist gave me the script, even she did not believe it would help. She now admits she sees it works!! My internal medicine physician also was willing to give it to me. These are the only two Docs I see. Rheumatologists tend to be negative (at least the ones I saw). Good luck, JoAnn

TO THE AP USERS and anyone else interested. I just had a horrible experience. I was contacted by a lady at my water aerobics class. Her 54 year old daughter-in-law in New Hampshire has diffuse systemic scleroderma and is so ill she is already in a wheelchair. She can barely walk and has very very reduced lung capacity. I gave her all my info, told her about many of you on AP. I also told her about my Photopheresis. Her husband refuses to let her try the AP and her doctor says it does not work. Also, no one wants to put the family thru another "false hope".
According to the lady who contacted me (mother-in-law), the woman is dying and is in horrible pain. Her doctor is a "well known" doctor with many "credentials" so they are going to listen to the doctor. I am just SICK! Not just that she won't try the AP or Photopheresis, but that they are willing to just sit, do nothing and let her die!!!!!
I also told her about another friend who is in full remission from IVIG and Cellcept, but presume they won't try that either.
Thanks for letting me vent.

Cubby, That's the saddest thing I 've heard in a long time. How can the family just let her die when there is a chance she could really recover!!!!!!!! I think that borders on abuse!!! Too bad there isn't something that someone could do!!!! This breaks my heart!!
