Wondering....... ???I've been off prednisone since mid August after being on it eleven months. When I dropped down, I had a "rejuvenation" after about a week. But, now that I'm off, I have yet to get the "get up and go" back! I've been a bit frustrated by it. I talked with pulmonary about it and he said it can take up to a year for the body to adjust to the last drop....or I could return to the 2.5mg of it...NO WAY (we hope).... Wondered if those on AP have had to wait that long! I anticipated the AP would kick in and the energy would be back. Anyone else experienced a 'slower than desired' return? Just curious............grammie

The AP "kicked in" within about a month. You must remember, tho that I had been doing Photopheresis treatments for 3 months by that time.
ANYWAY, I took 2 iron pills a day (ferrous sulfate--325 mg I think?). I believe that is what helped give me the energy.
Aren't you also treating for something else? Just wondering if any of those meds are affecting your energy.
Besides that, not everyone starts to see positive results from the AP in the same amount of time.
Not sure if that answer helps, but sure hope it does even a little.

Thanks, for your input. I've been on Ap for 7 mon. now but will be patient...if I can!!!
Yes, I have another med that can make me tired and I've asked about that too. I think I'll give the iron a try. Thanks for the thought.

Grammie - I never took a steady dose of pred. so I can't help with that. IIRC don't take the iron anywhere near your Mino. There is just not time enough in the day to take all this stuff is there?

Oops, thanks for that information. I forgot about that. Guess I'll just have to wait it out. Thanks Jeff.
