Has anyone had a problem with their gallbladder? If you have, I'd appreciate any info you can give me. For a couple days now I've had this uncomfortable, mild to moderate pain in the area to the right of my stomach and under the ribs. The pain seems to radiate to my back and shoulders. I see my gastro on Monday and believe he'll send me for an ultra sound. What I'm really wondering is what can I do for relief in the meantime?? Can sclero affect the gallbladder?
Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the thread! I would not have thought of it. I'm printing it out and taking it with me to my appointment to see what doc says.

Not trying to "wish" anything on you but the content of the thread just sounded somewhat similar.

I had mine taken out in 2005. No stones, it just wasn't functioning propery. This was when they were trying to determine why I was so sick and losing so much weight. The biopsy showed it was extremely inflammed which I now wonder if it had anything to do with the SD.

Hi Jeff and Sammie, Saw my gastro today. He scheduled me to have two tests. One is an ultrasound and the other one is a HIPA Scan. He explained that they inject something (forgot what he said) that goes through the system and tells how the gall bladder works~~~~~at least that's what I think he said. I took the thread about the sphincter of odi and completely forgot to ask him about it! I go for the tests on Aug, 4th at 7:30 A.M. YUCK I am NOT a morning person!!
Sammie, Have you had any problems since having yours out? I've only had 2 episodes fo the pain but he said better to check now instead of enting up in ER. Im SURE NOT losing weight, darn it!
