Last week I ended up in the hospital with pneumonia again, it had been 7 months since I had it. I started on July 3rd with the vomiting bile all day and night and as always, it aspirated into my lungs. So I went to the ER on the 4th. I went to the local hospital, but as one of my Johns Hopkins docs suggested, if I ever have to go again I will go to Hopkins where they know my problems. The doctor at the hospital was horrible. I was experiencing terrible esophageal spasms from all the vomiting and begged for some nitro as it usually helps and she told me I was just having reflux and they would give me some Tums.
The only good thing was that she had me on IV antibiotics for the pneumonia and I also had some rare urinary infection which was also treated with other IV antibiotics.
Anyhow I was in there 5 days and I hate being in the hospital!!!
Then on father's day weekend my husband was also in the hospital for 5 days with Lyme's disease. He was so sick with very high fevers.
So far it hasn't been a great summer. Especially for my hubby, in the hospital for Fathers day and then I was in for his birthday!!!

That does not sound like a good time Sammie. Hope you are on the mend. As for your husband make sure his doc is Lyme Literate, don't fool around get rid of that stuff. My wife had both Lyme and babesosis at the same time a few years ago. We live in the babesosis capital of the world. Neither are anything to fool with good luck.

Oh, Sammie, I am so terribly sorry to hear you were in the hospital. Also, really sad about your husband. I will be back there the end of this week. If you are up to it, perhaps I could visit???

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. We are both on the mend and my hubby's doc is Lyme literate. He is on antibiotics long term and seeing the doctor every few weeks.
Cubby, How long are you going to be out here? We leave for Cape May on Saturday for a week. We are going wit my daughter and family. We are definitely looking forward to some relaxation.
