Hey Randy!
Welcome back! We’re all still plugging along here, with some experiencing more fun stuff than others, of course.
We are also ‘enjoying’ a significant snowfall here in Michigan today and hear that it’s heading to the northeast. (Sorry, friends in those parts!)
Looking forward to hearing from others...

Hey Randy good to hear from you. Sure does seem like the meds we take cut both ways, help one thing and introduce a new down side. Between watching for new SD issues we also get to watch for new drug side effects. Glad you figured out what was causing you balance issue. How long did it take for the side effects go away after stopping the Ciallis? Did it make a noticeable improvement in your Raynaud's. Perhaps I should ask my Doc about a low dose Ciallis in the winter months. I don't have Raynaud's problems once it warms up in the spring. Glad you are holding he the line withy the SD.
Randy I had back surgery in August, removal of a disc or half of a disk in L2 and L3. The sciatica is gone which is welcome but it has been a slow recovery, not as rosey and quick as billed but I suppose that is not uncommon. In addition I am probably trying to do too much at work and I am trying to address that. All in all it's OK just slow.
We had rain mixed with snow last night changing to all rai later. Lots of snow up north. It has been quite wet this fall here.

Hi Jeff - sorry for the late reply. Is there a way to be email notified when a post comes in? How do I follow you, or a particular thread?
I'm sorry to hear you had back surgery. I can relate to back issues and sciatica. I do find that I need to constantly stretch my hamstrings when my back is really hurting ... like it has been for the last 3 wks! I also had my R hip replaced 1 year ago and had my L hip replaced in 2010. Thankfully, our SD has not prevented us from healing from surgery, nor has the AP made us more susceptible to post-surgery infection.
My minimal Cialis side effects were gone within 2-3 days. I am back to taking 10 mg per day. It does help some with my Raynauds, fingertips, ED, and peripheral neuropathy. It is reported to help prevent PAH, for those at risk. Yes, there is no doubt that Cialis and Viagra noticeably help with Raynauds and fingertips. As you probably know, they are routinely R'd to us SD types, including females for these reasons. There are also plenty of articles supporting these meds for Raynauds, fingertips, and PAH. There are other names for the same medicine for Rx to females and for insurance reasons. However, even with 20 mg Cialis, when the temp gets really cold, I will get Raynauds. Additionally, the supplement L-Arginine is worth looking into as a natural vasodilator. Dr. F. gave me the go-ahead to use it. Lots to discuss about this, but it appears that 1,000 mg 3X per day is a good dose and probably should not be taken with other vasodilators such as Cialis.
Nifedipine is the typical Rx for us SD folks (as you probably know), but I had issues (leg water retention) with it (back in 2008....). I guess I could have experimented with a smaller dose. Richie always took one nifedipine daily (I can't remember the dose) in addition to mino. By the way, I rarely visit the RBF board, but I did today, and saw that he passed away Sept 2 from cancer, not SD. Sorry to notify you about this if you were unaware.
Best,
Randy
