Have not posted much of late, too much happening in Jeff world. Work situation continues to morph. I have been doing more work for my son's electrical business along with doing service work for some of my old customers but less of that. Wish I was able to do more for him work wise. I am very limited in what I can do above shoulder height but my son has been finding things for me to do within my new capabilities ie from shoulder height down. It has been enjoyable working for him and believe me I did not see that coming. Being an electrician that can't work over head is challenging to say the least. I try but when I do the evening entails a lot of ice on the shoulder and advil. The fall has been nice weather wise and have only had a few cold days but they are coming I am sure. Enjoying the warm while it lasts. By and large life is OK just really busy. I always thought with old age things would just sort of level out and get easier and that is proving NOT to be the case, I must have screwed up somewhere along the way. The SD is mostly unchanged, the mino must still be working well. "Normal" aches and pains - you guys know the drill. I was DXed 10 years ago, that does not seem possible - time flies huh.
Hope you guys are all hanging in there and getting ready for the holidays. That has sure crept up on me can't believe it is that time of year already. Stay warm and well.

I don't know why I thought you were diagnosed longer ago than that, Jeff. Anyhow, glad to hear things are status quo. I'd be happy with that, too. Different things just seem to be coming at me from different directions. Darn. I'll just keep turning the other cheek, I guess.

That is all we can do I think Christel - carry on as best we can. DX was in 2006 BUT I feel that I have had it probably since college- yes that was a long time ago Christel . When I was really busy at work and just odd stuff going on I would begin to feel bad. Sore joints, fatigue, headaches - you know the usual. March through early summer is our busy time at work as we are a seasonal resort community. By early July I was always sick and just feeling terrible. As work got back to a normal pace and things eased up, into early August, I would feel OK again. I am guessing I was cruising just below the threshold of SD. Yeah I know sounds suspect but that is how it always worked for me. The other odd thing was I had lots of sinus infections. Almost every cold ended up as an infection. They would put me on antibiotics and just about the time I finished the meds I would feel great for a few days then back to my normal not so great normal (for me) feelings. Infection gone but not feeling great. The mino put an end to the sinus infections, now I just get a normal cold now and again.

Wow, it's funny how when you look back, you see signs and things that happened that suddenly seem to make sense. When I began going down the tubes more quickly in 2006, I was keeping a journal of symptoms, tests, meds, and different doctor appointments, etc. Reading it later was kind of strange as I was chronicling my disease without even knowing it!

Your journal was a great idea. I have often wished I had done the same. Every once in a while something would happen or I would begin to hurt and after thinking about it a while I and the "Oh Yeah" light goes on - been there done that. The cause and effect becomes much more clear. Ah if I only known. Every so often I cruise other SD boards and look at what people are going through particularly with the newly DXed and it is sobering to say the least. We really don't have anyone here new to SD - that posts anyway so I look at the other boards occasionally to remember the back when part. I forget or most likely choose to forget much of the pain and initial uncertainty of my early days with SD.
Christel there may be book in your journal or at least a blog. Much raw material there I would think.
