Well, what is one of the most common topics on this board? The weather, of course! I can't believe we will soon celebrate Labor Day weekend, the unofficial end of summer. Where in the world did the summer go? We spend so much time waiting for winter/cold weather to pass, and then spring and summer just seem to fly by!
My goal for this fall (as with most in the past few years) is to acclimate my body so I don't get shocked by the cold. I'd like to stay as active as possible as long as possible. Since I have lived in Michigan my whole life, one would think there aren't any big surprises about what is coming. This is true, but how I react is the key. I'm hoping that if I keep as much of my regular schedule intact as possible with the weather change, I won't resent winter quite as much. Sound like a reasonable idea, or am I kinda crazy?!
I'll keep you all posted as to my progress. Enjoy the season change!

Sounds reasonable. Can you bring some of your exercise indoors? At least during the coldest months? I have found like you I would guess that if you can keep a routine it seems to make things go better. I have had trouble fitting my walking in during the summer due to traffic on the roads where I usually walk so earlier this summer I began walking on the treadmill when I am home from work for lunch. I can get in about 30 min usually. So far I am a big fan. I still walk outside when I can but the dirt roads around my home are mostly a lane and a half wide and with the influx of population during the summer you spend most of the time stopped avoiding traffic. Any tips you can give us about living in the cold on planet Michigan would be helpful. You lived there your whole life BUT you did not have SD/Raynauds your whole life though so adjustments have to be made. At least that has been my experience. I used to be a big winter guy and while I still snowboard but I pick my days a bit more carefully.
