This will actually be yet another thread about the weather! We're going to have a decent day today, but thunderstorms are predicted for tomorrow and then a high of only 61 on Sunday! I have yet to get any flowers planted. If I wait too long, I may end up with nothing as has happened before... Pacing myself with what I want to accomplish daily definitely cuts into tasks I want to get done. Frustrating.
The good news is that I have been able to get some deliberate physical activity back into my life. I dusted off my Nordic Trac skier and have been using that for a respectable amount of time most mornings! Although my weight is lower than it has ever been in my adult life, I have developed those pesky 'muffin tops' over my hips... I am hoping that I will eliminate or at least tone my middle with the addition of exercise. The good thing about my skier is that it provides maximum benefit in minimal time--very important for my yet somewhat fragile left leg. (Getting into an exercise routine also makes me very mindful of what goes into my mouth!) I truly don't think that the leg will ever be totally 'fine', yet I must do my best to work around it!
Enjoy the last few days of May, my favorite month with all the hope of better weather ahead that it promises!
Christel ❤️

That is so great that you are moving around better! I found that not only was it good physically it was great for my outlook and confidence. Plus it just feels good to get back towards a more normal life style. Hope you are still being the good patient though, don't over do. I know you have a good handle on things so I'm sure that falls into the "not to worry bin".
We had a beauty of a day yesterdays. Dry, no wind to speak of and bright sunshine. It has been really windy for DAYS and it was nice to have what was probably our first summer day. Unfortunately I was inside working most of the day really did not get to enjoy it. Did cut the lawn when I got home and enjoyed that.

How are you making out this week Christel? Leg still improving? Keep up the good work.
The crowds have already begun to arrive. The island is quite busy but the worst is yet to come, another couple of weeks when kids get out of school - lots more people. Year to year it varies but the first two weeks of August is the peak. Too busy at work to enjoy much yet and the weather has been very cool still. How is life on the lake? Spending time up there yet?
