I use it as a seasoning when I cook ribs on the grill. I guess I should do that more often. I have read good things about it and I should look for other ways to include turmeric in my diet.

I'm looking for recipes that include it, too. If anyone has any tried and true ones, please let me know!
Thanks, C.
Nancy, what do you do with the paste?

Hi guys! I havent made the paste, yet! I purchased some turmeric supplements, from HSN, Andrew Lessman, but I have been told that they are not as effective, we shall see. Do some research, turmeric does not get absorbed well, passes through...But if you use it with a healthy oil/fat ( olive or coconut) and fresh cracked pepper, its more readily absorbed.
people are buying organic, online..because the supermarket stuff has the curcumin removed. Its bitter...so I am trying to get it past my tastes and into my stomach, Ha!
My plan for the paste was to get a piping bag and make like little pills 1/4 teas-1/2 teas. sized onto a cookie sheet, and freeze, remove to a container and keep in freezer. I havent done it yet! People are making capsules from turmeric, dried coconut oil powder and cracked pepper. You can buy everything to make your own capsules. You can also buy the root at whole foods and online.
There is a page on facebook, called turmeric users, from Australia, vets have discovered it extremely useful for horses, dogs, etc... There is a recipe for the paste there...they gave me the link to the page I posted here, above. I have had pretty good luck with adding it to a smoothie and also sprinkled on my poached eggs on buttered toast, with cracked oepper.
We are in for ANOTHER 10-18". of SNOW,! we are buried here and I am feeling very trapped! Today I made bone broth, for drinking, it condroitin glucosamine. , I am trying so hard to get processed foods out, its really hard!
Look around...you may find more information! Best! xo, Nancy
