Yes, it is true. I was approved for hyperbaric oxygen treatments! When I got the notice by phone, I was stunned and it actually took a few moments to sink in. I thought it meant I was approved for the appeal to move forward. Oh no, the decision was made! I am very pleased and, yes, grateful for this decision!
I also had a recheck with the wound clinic and my doctor there said my wound looks very good, and a date was scheduled for a graft! Omg. Too much stuff coming at me at once. But it is all good! I guess I barely know how to act.
I do still need to rest and limit being on my feet to give the wound the additional support it needs to heal. However, it will be much easier to do knowing that other things are being done to expedite the healing process!
Thanks to all of you for your prayers, concern, and continuing support through this journey, which is finally going in the right direction. I will still keep updates coming to finally give my saga closure!
Love, Christel

Great day you! Good wound report and a go for more treatment. When can you start at the wound clinic?

Monday is first day of hyperbaric and it continues daily from then on. My wound graft surgery is scheduled for November 21, unless an opening comes up sooner.
