I was thinking yesterday that I had not posted anything in quite a while. I have often thought of taking a break from the SD world, I guess I just took one. Checked out the other boards everyday and this one a few times a day. No posting though. The board has been quiet but it is summer and I think people are off enjoying a lack of Raynaud's or just busy. My excuse has been I have been busy and otherwise occupied. Our municipal wiring inspector retired and three of us, assistant inspectors, have been filling in. Each of us one day a week, because of that I have been missing a day at my regular work and have to make it up doing bookwork and service calls after my normal quitting time. Long days and hopefully they will hire a full time replacement inspector soon. This can't end soon enough. Need some summer fun! Really wanting to get back to normal here. Summer is so brief and we all need to enjoy it. So my break has not been pleasurable at all. Christel's post in SD Issues brought me back to SD reality and I figured I'd post my excuses. I have been feeling well fortunately as my increased mino dosage appears to have taken hold and I am not achy any more. My present dosage is still only half of what I started with back when, so I am still in a reduced dosage phase I guess. Just went too far with my reduction probably.
I hope most are joying your summer season.

You have to do what you have to do with your work, Jeff, but you know what they say about 'all work and and no play'! Just kidding--hope they find a replacement soon, but if you other guys are doing such of good job of filling in, they may be able to save a few bucks by not hiring a new guy (gal?) for a while...hmmm.

Ooh! I love puppies. We have a 3 year old yellow Lab and just love everything about her! As much extra work and mess they make, there's nothing like a sweet little face to make everything all better.. Enjoy-- what's her name?

Christel I hear Sharon named the new pup Cheesehead in honor of it's Wisconsin heritage. Trouble is when she goes out on the porch and calls the dog all her neighbors come running over. Just kidding Sharon. Yes I did not hesitate to up the dosage to one a day instead of three a week. Good call I think, I am feeling well but it is summer and the warm weather helps. Good energy and all that. I just need shake the wiring inspector gig.

Hi Jeff, The wire inspection thing in the summer on the island no doubt is very busy. I would think it would lighten up a bit in another few weeks. Sorry for no summer and no boating I take it.
Raynauds lightening up? Not at all for me!! I still get it in AC buildings and on a cool morning. I must admit I get interesting looks when I wear the mittens!
I haven't been on much for I use the iPad more than the laptop and I don't have this site on the iPad. I should ask my son-in-law how to do that before he leaves in a week.
Been a fun summer. Daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandkids have been home for 5 weeks and with it brings friends with children to the waterfront. I enjoy watching all the activity and even get down there to join them some days! It is one of the nice parts of having a home on the water....well 36 steps up from the lake! I will miss all the activity when they return home in another week.
Happy August all! GRAMMIE

Grammie last weekend it rained both days and the previous two weekends were very windy so by Sunday I was looking for something to do. It was raining and in the 60s but I loaded up and went clamming. Good to get out a bit very relaxing. The water has been cold this year and needless to say no sun so my Raynaud's did act up a bit. Usually when clamming in decent weather I am OK but I guess conditions were just so. Hands did the normal thing and my feet looked ugly, they warmed right up when I got out of the water and back on the boat. It was worth it though.
The inspecting deal does sometimes taper off but not too much surprisingly. I am hoping they hire someone in the next week or so. Today was the deadline to apply.
It appears your summer is going quite nicely!
