Rainy here this Memorial Day AM but we cooked out last evening after going down to the harbor area to have a cocktail and check out the crazy people that come over to the island in a sailboat race. Hard partying bunch that group. Got a lot of projects done on the boat Sat and Sun. Hope to launch the week after next. Went out to breakfast with the wife as it is our anniversary, later I'll head up to the cemetery to visit my parents. Today is/was my mom's birthday and my dad like so many of us boomers parents was a vet. They have been gone for many years but I try to get by every few weeks.
Hope you all are enjoying some fun in the sun. Enjoy.

Sounds like summer is underway good and proper in your neighborhood, Jeff. Happy anniversary to you and your wife! Did you know it was going to be rainy there today? We had a beautiful day here-got quite a bit done today, and I am pretty fried right now.
Thanks to our veterans for being the real reason for our holiday. We should all remember that "freedom isn't free".

The weatherman said that today was going to be the pick of the weekend! Sat. and Sun. were not supposed to be nice. They just had the forecast reversed. Never did clear up. Got a lot of not so much fun stuff done though. Glad you had a great weather day, no Raynaud's today. Hope everyone had a "non sclero day" too.

The weather at the southern NJ beach was beautiful. 80's and mostly sunny with some scarce clouds. The Memorial service was attended by so many in our beach town of Ocean City ("Americas Favorite Family Resort"). They gave out red, white & blue wrist bands with the name of POW Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl and said that he is the ONLY prisoner of war in Afghanistan and has been held since 2009 by the Taliban, who have released videos of him and claim Bergdahl is still alive.
Please write to your Congressman pleading that they do everything possible to bring this man home.
