This is an easy one. Anyone had a medication change lately or are things just going along status quo?
I am thinking about trying to reduce mino dosage a little more but am unsure about it yet. Rheumy #4 that I started with in May wanted me to but they always say that.

Hi! Yes, I have been trying what works for pain, have tried 50 mg. tramadol and 2.5 mg percocet, (not together) I am on the fence about taking them but have noticed more productivity when I do, I have no tolerance and they wipe me out, got to take them with plenty of food. I could use some feedback on pain meds, what do u use and how? also, I have list most foot pads and have been to foot doctor, who recommended I take the supplement 600 mg. alpha lipoic acid for neuropathy., which I began today. I am having a terrible time with foot pain and need to use much padding, which has become very uncomfortable. I use the electric carts when shopping. It hurts to wear sox and shoes. My feet and hands are skinny from pad loss. I am also taking vitamin B complex, Magnesium, vitamin D Today is a bad day, it will get better...right? Nancy

Aw, Nancy, I hope today is a better day for you...
My meds have been pretty much the same. I will be starting a new med for reflux which my insurance has decided to let me try on a 'temporary' basis--whatever that means!
I have also been using Tramadol for general pain twice a day for a couple of years now. It doesn't make me drowsy, and I definitely notice when I miss a dose.
This pain in my right thumb continues to be a major issue, with it erupting for a 4th time since the beginning of July. The pain from that is not helped by any meds. I do need to figure out what my next step with that is going to be. The pain is much worse when it gets cold...hmmm. Michigan in fall...
Thanks for asking the question, Jeff!!

With my GAVE I have to stay away from NSAIDs so I mostly tough it out. ADVIL now and again. The SD does not generate much pain now thankfully but with the shoulder injury I could do with more than I allow myself. My foot pain has passed but I still seek comfortable shoes. I find Rebok high tops to be a go to shoe for me. Probably not for you ladies though huh. Christel I hope they can figure out something for your thumb before the cold.

No mino for me for sometime now, I'm glad to say!
I too have the neuropathy but due to another situation. I have found that the pain in the feet are better when I wear really wide shoes, very flexible socks, and I use a wooden roller with groves on the roller, on my feet at night. Believe it or not, stimulating them has helped me out. I also take vit B6 for the circulation and I know it helps for if I go without it for a week or so, I'm in trouble again! Good luck Nancy!
