dr wells recommendations. Has anyone else heard of these? I copied it from his website
What therapies does Dr. Weil recommend for scleroderma? Dr. Weil recommends the following measures to patients with all types of autoimmune diseases, including scleroderma:
Consume a low-protein, high-carbohydrate diet. Eliminate milk and milk products including commercial foods made with milk. Minimize intake of foods of animal origin. Having celiac disease increases the risk of having an autoimmune disease. Considering talking to your healthcare provider about being properly screened. Increase consumption of food sources of omega-3 fatty acids such as oily fish and walnuts. Do regular aerobic exercise. Practice relaxation techniques and experiment with mind-body techniques such as biofeedback, self-hypnosis, meditation, visualization and imagery. Avoid practitioners who make you feel pessimistic about your condition. Autoimmune diseases wax and wane, often mirroring emotional ups and downs, so it is important to work with a practitioner who emphasizes the possibility of positive outcomes and encourages experimentation.
what do you think? Nancy

Good info Nancy. I know many are on gluten free diets and anti inflammatory diets. Anything that makes a difference for the better right.
I'll have to check out his website.

I eat lots of Gluten Free and haven't noticed a difference with my hands. It is very interesting though for I'm sure we are what we eat. I mean that there are so many changes to the food we eat, know wonder there are so many with allergies and health issues.

Yes! I am into this natural foods thing, big time at least when I can, cuz it's really expensive to buy all organic...using my Nutribullet daily. One of the doctors I have seen, mentioned that people with Scleroderma, have trouble absorbing nutrients, so I am bumping them up. (no one knows if that is true) I guess time will tell...I am going to a local Rheumy next week, I cancelled my BI appt. The doctor there is very thorough, but really by the book, so to speak... My skin continues to soften, I still have fatigue, my feet have lost most of the padding and I have not been able to walk as much as I could before, due to fatigue and fear of getting ulcers, or severe callouses, So I am being as pro active as I can... I have seen too many changes in society, in my lifetime, obesity, disease, autism, and getting worse, that I do blame the food industry, chemicals, GMO.. So I am gonna do what I can!! If you get a chance to watch FOOD MATTERS on Netflix, watch it.. It changed my life...,I have always thought I was a healthy eater.. Best to all! Nancy
