How often do you guys visit your Rheumy? I was going every six months, then yearly and then every two years. I haven't seen one in quite a while and as I have posted I need to at my PCPs request. No new problems she just wants me to see one. I was just wondering.

Not a bad idea to have at least a couple of pairs of eyes watching you. My PCP and my Rheumy have both moved on, I had a good team there for a while - oh well....

I go every 4 months. It seems so far away when I make the appt., and then, boom, there it is! Actually I have my next appt. on the 20th of this month (I think), and this winter appt. is usually a bit more eventful than the ones which occur in the warmer months. I may discuss adding a vasodilator to my regime again as my hands have been very sensitive with the slight shift toward colder weather that we have had thus far. As I mentioned before, I keep hoping that the darn Raynaud's may forget to reappear each fall... Raynaud's is probably the part of my scleroderma that gives me the most pain and grief. It is frustrating how such a 'stupid' illness can control my life.

hi I pmed you...I am seeing her about every three to four months..tho I pushed for a little longer this last time, due to the travel issue in winter.
she likes her bloodwork, echo and PFTs...she will want them all up to date.
they can see changes sooner before they become bigger issues..

I have an appointment in February ....the earliest I could get for I forgot to make an appointment this fall. I was being seen about every 5 months or so and had one for Sept. But, in August I was sick and seen by a number of doctors, one being a rhymie team so I canceled the Sept appointment. Looking back, I probably should have kept it.
Raynauds is really tough for me too. I get those fingers so cold so fast. Warm water does help to bring them back. Often, if I'm not careful, then the fingers will spasm up and I get cramps in them. So I'm careful.....oops, off the subject at hand.
