i wondered if any of you have sensitivity to the sun or the heat from the sun? If i go out and work in the garden or just to enjoy a few minutes of sunshine the back of my hands itches like crazy and i get soft bumps on the top of my hands. Its kinda like prickly heat but not quite like that. Lotion doesnt seem to help much and it doesnt take long before i break out.

actually I was so sensative to sunlight and flourescent lights that I had one incredible tan....people were asking me if I'd been in the bahamas......I get blisters on my hands sometimes from heat....I found it was from the minocycline....changed from minocycline to tetracycline....problems stopped..

Hey Isobelle - sounds like some sort of heat rash and you have been off the antibiotics for quite a while right? Or did you begin them again? Are you on any new meds that you may be having reaction to? Maybe something that has been added over the winter that you were not taking last summer. Have you ever had something similar before with your morphea?

I used to get a rash every winter for the first three years of active SD. That has been quiet the past two winters. I have no skin problems other than I tan well, the SD made me darker and the mino helps with the tan I guess. When I shower the hot water does make the skin on my back somewhat prickly feeling but that goes away as soon as I am out of the shower. No sun issues though.
