Steve, We had a boating accident on our little lake this weekend in which the driver of the other boat died and his five passengers received minor injures. Don't know all the details but do understand that that boat may not have had it's lights on for may have been out there to watch the fireworks. The other boat did have lights and plowed into the boat.'
It sure is important to follow ALL the roles with life vest and the works for one never really knows what will happen when. I see many without vests on, all size boats from the fishing putt-putt boats, kayaks, sunfish to motor boats and it sure isn't a smart thing to do for one never knows. You've said a similar thing when you had your boating accident.
Let's be smart and enjoy the water.
