Thank you for the welcome. I'm new to all of this and even to message boards. I registered to learn more about AP and scleroderma. Specifically, what type of scleroderma does it work on - limited or diffuse (systemic)? Also, does anyone dx with scleroderma also have Sjogrens? I was inspired by Cubby story on another site whichinked me to this site. Thank yiu

riley I am not a "student of the disease" so much but to my knowledge AP is used for all types of SD. We are a mixed group here with folks on many different treatments and meds. So there are many different viewpoints and of course we all have SD. I'm sure others will ring in here. There is a group of us APers here for sure including oddly enough three of us who saw the same rheumy until he retired. I was DXd with CREST/ Limited in Nov '05 and have been on AP for just over five years, just had that anniversary a month ago. Early on I exhibited all the CREST letters and some other SD favorites too. I do not have Sjogrens. I did have watermelon stomach early on.
We are an easy going group here I feel with lots of different paths taken. How long have you had SD and what are you on thus far? I'll send you a PM too.

Hi Riley 1999 and welcome!!!!! Yup, the people I know on AP which is really Minocin or Minocyclene, have all different kinds of scleroderma. As you know, I have diffuse systemic (the worst kind). My girlfriend has morphea and she is in full remission from the AP.
I think you wll really like it here! We have a really neat bunch of people who are always available to help and answer questions. Also, Steve 201, always has the best jokes (see jokes section) and JeffN always has the best "Shameless Trolls".
