Beau's Lines?
On one of my infrequent visits to another SD forum I found a question about Beau's lines which I had never heard of. I looked it up and they are ridges that run across the fingernail. I have ridges that run "with" the nail from the cuticle to the tip on the nail. In the past when I read about people having nail ridges I assumed they similar to mine and not across the nail. I was told the ridges were a result of circulation problems and as my circulation has improved the ridges have not gone away entirely but are greatly reduced.
If you have finger nail ridges which way do they go? Or do yours go both with and across the nail, which sounds uncomfortable.

I have ridges that run from the cuticle to the tip of the nail. I have always had them that i remember so i thought they were normal? Hmm interesting thought, did the article you read state which way they run.

yep...mine started when I first got SD...I had the black stripe going down the nail from the cutical to the tip...the ridges were really bad at my peak.....marsha would rub them when she held my hand....
found out from my doc that this happens with SD patients..

Mine are cuticles to nail but I have polish on right now, so have to double check that.
