I have been on mino for about 3 years now. When I first began, my stomach sure didn't like mino....understatement. For the last several years, it has been quieted down and all seemed good. Over the last two months I'm back to having stomach aches twenty minutes after taking it....the worse is at night! I do try to stay up after I've had it and sometimes that works but not always. I take it with diluted fruit juice for I really don't like plain water. Been doing that for over two years. I'm trying to make sure I'm taking it with 8 ounces but I maybe short on it. Anyone know what happens if it is less than 8 ounces? Any ideas what might be going on? To my knowledge the pharmacy hasn't changed the drug....looks the same! Just trying to think this one out and do it right but sure is hard not to put crackers or corn chips into my stomach at that point!! grammie

Been measuring the diluted fruit juice to make sure it is the full 8 ounces and it is better....not perfect but sure is much better.

Grammie let me share with you some of my bad habits. I have always had a problem with my stomach and water, it often does not sit well. Same with fruit juice. In addition when I began AP I was having my GAVE episode and my stomach was not well to begin with. Anyway I tried to take my dosage with plain water but it did not agree. At work during the day at that point I would have a 16 oz caffeine free diet coke that I would consume over the course of the morning, I soon began just to take my mino with the soda and I experienced much less stomach discomfort. I never revealed that to Dr. T though. Anyway it worked fine for me as far as I can tell. I also kept a package of crackers with me and if my stomach hurt some I would have a couple of those. You are doing well and are three years in, perhaps you can take some liberties at this point. I became a bit more liberal with my night dose in time, not quite so worried about a snack within two hours. I always found it curious that my night dose did not ever bother my stomach and I would always take it right before bed, still do. I am not saying this is what you should do but you might think about some modification if your pain is that bad. That's for you to decide.
What brand of mino are you on? I was on Ranbaxy at first and that bothered my stomach. By chance they gave me Watson one time and I found that to be easier on me. But we all have different results. Would it be worth changing brands for a month to see if that helps. I read somewhere that the medicine in generics are usually the same but the fillers used are different and that is what causes distress.
