I will reply for my wife Jennifer. She is home busy with the kids (age 8, 14, and 17). She is doing so much better than we would have thought when she was dx in April of 2008. This disease has really taken us by suprise and consumes several hours of my day as I am determined to learn as much as I can about scleroderma and disease in general. Jennifer has had a recent backslide in October and we are still trying to figure out what to do about it. With the new year, we are officially declaring "WAR!!!" on scleroderma and are determined to use every weapon in our arsenal against this disease. We are trying lots of new things and are in the process of applying for disability so Jennifer can stay home and focus on getting well. One major mile stone is that Jennifer finished a 1/2 marathon (in 2 hours and 38 min) in September along with me and my son. She was training for her 3rd full marathon when this disease struck, so it was a proud moment to see her cross the finish line.
