Herx?

As always spring into summer is our busy work time, both physically and mentally stressful. We are busy year round but the push time is spring and summer the result of living in a resort community I suppose. Back years ago before the SD really kicked in by the 4th of July I would feel like death warmed over. By the end of August I would be back to my more normal sore self but many of the body aches, headaches and fatigue would have improved. This busy season was particularly tough and the back issues made it worse. At any rate the past couple of weeks I have had a MINOR rash going on my legs and lower arms I think it is a minor herx. Just a few small areas and except for the small itchy places no other SD like problems. Either getting to the end of the spring rush or maybe I just finally figured out that I can only do what I can do has relaxed me and the mino is catching up. Lesson learned maybe I should double up on the mino starting in early May and cut back again when things get manageable. In addition it makes me wonder if the SLOW improvement of my back is a result of the SD. Curious...

I think it was/is a small Herx. Still have a few bumps but much less frequent, the active part lasted about 10 days. The weather has not changed, still hot (well for here anyway) and muggy so I don't think it is heat related.

You know your own body the best, Jeff. Plus, this isn’t your first rodeo! As long as these episodes don’t take you way down, I guess it’s part of the game. Keep us posted. Hang in there.

Actually I generally take it as a positive sign and as you say it is just part of the game, another sign post on our SD journey. Thanks for the encouragement!
