Well Jose finally moved away and the sun even came out for a bit yesterday afternoon. Eight days of fog then wind and rain, foggy again today. Looks like Maria will turn Eastward south of us. Fingers crossed on that one - not done deal yet. From what I see everyone else is enjoying warm weather. Hope you guys are out enjoying the warmth!

Glad the worst is (probably) behind you, Jeff. Yes, we've had some extremely unseasonably warm weather here for the past two weeks. Loving it and trying to savor every moment... Ten degree drop daily for next couple of days forecast. When it is so nice, you forget that it won't be here forever. Wishful thinking, though!

Supposed to be high 70's here tomorrow - 88 off island. Then cooler on Thursday. Mid to upper 70s today with sunshine and high humidity. Wish I was headed to VT. as it is supposed to have a high of 60 or so and lows in the upper 30s starting Thursday. I could enjoy that. Still looks as if Maria will turn East tomorrow hope they got this prediction correct.

Another storm passing today - Nate. Just rainy and humid here. Winds are light with gusts to 30ish so no big deal just more gloomy weather. End of the week looking better. Hope any members that live down south are doing OK.

Winter has arrived in my neck of the woods. Mid 20s today with high winds, boats cancelled. Spent more time outside at work than I wanted and my hands are not happy. Last week I spent most of my work days outside but the weather while in the high 30s to low 40s it was the first cold weather. Got to dig out my winter clothes - hands were not happy then either. A bit achey at night after they warm up. Well it had to end sometime, the weather had been so nice this fall. That is over now! I have one of those hot wax heater things that I have not used in a long time I am thinking I should fire it up and stick the paws in it when I get home at the end of the day. IIRC it felt pretty good.

Winter with its fun has arrivered here, too! We have gotten about 6-8 inches of snow since yesterday, along with wind chills in the single digits. I thought these conditions might forget to return to us in Michigan this year. Umm, no.
Stay safe and warm, everyone!

I used the hot wax the past couple of evenings after work and I don't know if there is any benefit other than warming up the hands really well but it feels nice. The past few days I have spent more time inside at work so my hands have not been as cold at the end of the day but the hands were nice and toasty after a couple wax applications. Also charged the electric gloves so they will go in the work bag. That always helps. Stay warm.
