Mostly about possible abuse but I still really feel it has a place. No magic bullets but use all the tools available to get the job done. It is just another tool that just may work. As chief Dan George said in the movie Little Big Man with Dustin Hoffman "sometimes the magic works and sometimes it doesn't"
Thanks, Jeff. I just saw this article that you posted.
It is very interesting and mentions that Medicare started clamping down more in 2015. If you will recall, I had to appeal Medicare to get them to pay for treatment for the non-healing ulcer on my leg. At the time I was seeking approval, it was 2014, and I was told hyperbaric treatment was only approved for diabetes... Funny, too, how Michigan is one of the three states noted.
I am very familiar with The Villages Hospital in Florida as that is the community in which my dad used to live and was also a patient there. Small world, huh?
Our local hospital is currently building a chamber, too, although there are already a number of them in the not too far area. If the efficacy of this treatment is being challenged, I wonder why so many more are being set up.
