Hi christel, hope it is still going well. Pacing oneself is hard to do! Well, any gifts to wrap or cards to address? Things one does during these months . Put on some music and sway away! Do hope it is continuing to go well.
Blessed thanksgiving! Grammie

Yes, things are moving along slowly in the right direction. I saw the dr. there for a recheck yesterday, and she measured the wound and it was a little smaller again. However, since I am still having a fair amount of pain (though it IS better than it was), she wanted to put me on a prophylactic antibiotic for a couple of weeks to be sure it doesn't get infected. And yes, there are no lack of things I can work on while staying off my feet!
This morning, I had a bit of a challenge to get to my 8:30 appointment as we had quite a bit of snow overnight, and it is still falling. What is usually a 15 minute drive took me 35 minutes. 'Tis the season!
Stay safe and warm, everyone!

Completed 3 weeks (15 treatments) on Friday. I still think things are slowly improving.
At the end of last week, began having upper back pain on left side which woke me from sleep. Pain also radiated into left arm. Ok. What now. My first thought was cardiac. Yesterday morning, I noted clusters of small blisters on my left arm. I saw my family doctor and he diagnosed what I suspected. Shingles. Sure, why not add that to the mix? He gave me a prescription for an antiviral med to slow down the duplication of the virus a bit. At least , my timing was good to get started on that. I did read that on the Internet yesterday morning when I suspected that was what I had.
Here I am, awake with pain and unable to sleep again. Gee, I sure do not want to go back to that stuff.
Hope you all have a better day!
Christel

SHINGELS?!?! Well that sucks for sure. Been there done that. Had them about twelve years ago and yes like you already know not a picnic. I was able to get on whatever med they had back then with in hours too. I do think the med helped. Jeekers - hang in there Christel.
